We began in the Spring of 2006, with a simple goal:  A few men gathering to sing songs of faith and everyday life.  We chose the name Sonnenberg Station because it gives a unique local identity and we like the sound of it.  Sonnenberg Station is actually located at a railroad crossing about a mile northeast of the Sonnenberg Mennonite and Salem Mennonite Churches near Kidron, Ohio. For more info about the origin of the name, check out the About Us page.

Sonnenberg Station Performs on March 21, 23, 27, & 28

Now in its fifth season, the men’s vocal ensemble, Sonnenberg Station, will present its spring season concert series with performances beginning in late March. Dates include March 21 at 7pm at Cornerstone Community Church in Dalton, March 23 at 7pm for the P. Graham Dunn Spring Celebration event, Central Christion School in Kidron, March 27 at 7pm at the LifeBridge Community Church in Dover, and March 28 at 7pm at Crown Hill Mennonite Church in Rittman. Sonnenberg Station's spring season repertoire will include ancient and modern classics, as well as some rousing spirituals and toe tapping tunes.

The singers came together in 2006 to dedicate some time to one of their favorite hobbies: singing. Having performed pieces from such diverse sources as Gregorian Chants to Neil Young, and from places like Spain to South Africa, the ensemble enjoys exploring the wide spectrum of vocal literature available. Their director is Tim Shue of Kidron. Further information can be found at their website: www.sonnenbergstation.org
